Terms of Service

Last updated: March 28, 2026

Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using DocScoop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including firm administrators, staff members, and clients accessing the document portal.

Description of Service

DocScoop is an early-access document workflow platform designed for accounting and bookkeeping firms. Released and certification-pending capabilities are identified on the pricing and security pages. Do not rely on a gated capability for production client work until it is marked available.

Account Registration

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload illegal, harmful, or malicious files.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems.
  • Use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate document collection and management.
  • Abuse, harass, or impersonate other users.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service infrastructure.

Intellectual Property

DocScoop owns rights in the platform, design, code, and branding except for third-party materials. You retain ownership of content you submit and grant the limited rights needed to operate, secure, support, and comply with law for the service.

Payment Terms

  • Free early access: Up to 3 active clients and 1 owner seat, subject to the labelled release limits.
  • Pro catalog preview: $29.99 monthly or $239.99 annually as a published target.
  • Current commerce state: Paid checkout is not open yet. The Pro catalog is a preview and no payment can be started from DocScoop today.
  • No cancellation, renewal, or refund promise applies until a checkout offer is opened with its provider terms.
  • Future offer changes will be disclosed before a customer accepts and pays for that offer.

Limitation of Liability

DocScoop is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Termination

You may request account closure through privacy@docscoop.com. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, security risk, or a material breach. Deletion and retention depend on verified authority, backup cycles, fraud prevention, and legal obligations; DocScoop does not promise an unverified fixed 30-day deletion workflow.

Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
