Terms of Service

By accessing or using DocScoop, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including firm administrators, staff members, and clients accessing the document portal.

DocScoop is a document collection platform designed for accounting and bookkeeping firms. The service enables firms to request, collect, track, and manage documents from their clients through a centralized portal with automated reminders and preparation summaries.

You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

You agree not to:

• Upload illegal, harmful, or malicious files.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts or systems.
• Use the platform for any purpose other than legitimate document collection and management.
• Abuse, harass, or impersonate other users.
• Interfere with or disrupt the service infrastructure.

DocScoop owns all rights to the platform, including its design, code, and branding. You retain full ownership of all documents and data you upload. We do not claim any rights over your content and will never use your documents for purposes other than providing the service.

• Free tier: Available indefinitely with limited features (3 active clients, 1 staff seat).
• Pro plan: Billed monthly via LemonSqueezy. Cancel anytime from your settings page.
• Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of payment.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice.

DocScoop is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

You may close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be retained for 30 days to allow export, after which it will be permanently deleted.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
